Would give 100 stars. Came in for drinks to wait for another restaurant to open. We ended up coming back when the other restaurant was full. Both servers each time were extremely kind and wonderful. We got the vodka pie without hot honey. We swear it is the best pizza we have ever eaten. Also lemon pepper caesar salad = buss. Drinks are cheap. I got a glass of sav blanc on the first visit and it was $8. My husband had a few beers $4 each. We live 40 mins south and no drinks are that cheap with it being the city - I am so impressed. Finally to top it all off another person could be owner, bartender or other server gave us a candle for my toddlerβs cupcake. We were celebrating his 2nd bday. She even helped us as the fan kept blowing the candle out. My husband and I were blown away and we believe this could be one of our favorite restaurants ever. Thank yall so much for a wonderful experience.

Sharing an honest review as this has been a neighborhood spot that my husband and I have enjoyed for awhile. The food is, without a doubt, delicious. The service has always been strong, too. And the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. It's obvious that the owners care through things like their consistent approach to strong service, fun ambience, renovations made to the restaurant, etc. Where I struggle with is the price. It was $25 to order a 12 inch supreme pizza (6 slices) and $10 for 5 wings. With tax and tip, our order was nearly $50. We really try to support local and understand that it is more expensive but this is a bit excessive. Not a complaint, just a heads up. This spot is more than a casual meal, it is a "treat".

The Luau and Kitchen Sink. We're on the menu tonight and are Ahh-mazing. Sooo damn good. Thin crust, lots of great toppings. Swing in, have a seat, order a pie. While youre waiting drink a cold beer. Will definitely be returning for more.

Update: didnβt think this place would get worse. We waited an HOUR for one pizza before asking them to just wrap it to go instead. Bill was about 70$. And we still overheard the owner micromanaging her staff.. yikes. That was our last visit for sure. A little worrisome knowing this spot was on Bar Rescue and STILL isnβt meeting my standards. The crust was really lacking β unfortunately thatβs a dealbreaker for pizza. The sauce and toppings were the only part I actually enjoyed. I wanted to try the vodka burrata Detroit-style pizza, but I just canβt justify $34 for a pizza. We ordered via Uber Eats, so I canβt speak to atmosphere or service. Overall, I donβt think Iβd order from here again.

So as an update, we went back for a 2nd visit and guess what .. total revamp... so apparently Urban Pie is being featured on Bar Rescue and their Grand Opening is tonight!!! Super happy for them, looks amazing and I can't wait to try their new menu! Super friendly local restaurant and bar! Went on a recommendation for amazingly unique thin crust pizza. Loved the pizza with olive oil... served hot and with fresh ingredients. Wow! Bar staff was super friendly and knowledgeable! We ordered our Chicken Alfredo pizza for pickup, but once we got there and found plenty of seating decided to stay in to eat and have drinks. Chicken Alfredo Pizza had creamy alfredo sauce with grilled chicken, spinach, roasted red peppers, parmesan, and basi. We added mushrooms. BOOM! 10 OUTTA 10! Our server was Kira and she shared the vision of the bar and how grounded they are in the local Kirkwood community. Parking seemed a little challenging, so we parked across the street at the library (after hours). Plenty of seating with booths and open tables. Nice size outdoor seating too. Final words... pizza was awesome... Bartender Kira's Margherita was quite tasty too! Worth the trip and we will be back!
